The National Palace of Pena is a stunning example of Romanticism, blending neo-Gothic, neo-Manueline, neo-Islamic, and neo-Renaissance styles. It was constructed on the site of a former monastery and is perched atop a hill, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.

After visiting National Palace of Pena choose between Sintra National Palace, Queluz Palace or Quinta da Regaleira.Sintra National Palace is one of the oldest in Europe. Mentioned in 11th century documents and property of the Portuguese Crown since 1147, Sintra National Palace is, in itself, a journey in Portuguese History.

The Sintra National Palace is one of Portugal's best-preserved medieval royal residences, continuously inhabited by the Portuguese monarchy from the early 15th century until the late 19th century. The palace showcases a blend of Gothic, Manueline, Moorish, and Mudéjar styles, representing various periods of Portuguese history. The palace is famous for its two large conical chimneys, a distinctive feature of Sintra's skyline. Inside, you'll find beautifully decorated rooms such as the Swan Room, the Magpie Room, and the Arab Room, each rich in historical significance and artistic detail. Ideal for those who appreciate medieval history and royal heritage, with beautifully preserved interiors and significant architectural styles.

Queluz Palace, often referred to as the "Portuguese Versailles," is an exquisite example of 18th-century Rococo architecture. Initially built as a summer retreat for Dom Pedro of Braganza, the palace later became a favorite residence of the Portuguese royal family. The palace gardens feature meticulously maintained parterres, fountains, statues, and the impressive Neptune's Fountain. The interior boasts opulent rooms such as the Throne Room, the Music Room, and the Tile Room, each adorned with intricate details and lavish furnishings. Perfect for admirers of Rococo elegance and landscaped gardens, offering a glimpse into the luxurious lifestyle of 18th-century Portuguese royalty.

Quinta da Regaleira is a masterpiece of Gothic, Renaissance, and Manueline architecture, infused with mystical and esoteric symbolism. Built for a wealthy Portuguese businessman with a fascination for alchemy, Masonry, and the Knights Templar. One of the most famous features is the Initiation Well, a spiral staircase leading down into the earth, symbolizing a journey into the depths of the human soul.
